Orbi buildings in daylight

This review should start with my morning, which began at 6 AM. Because, some loud shouting woke me up and I was forced to listen to a Russian family swearing at each other. They were completely out of control and didn't seem to care that everyone else was still sleeping. Their shouting and the sound of doors slamming completely ruined the peace around me.

Another thing I started wondering about was why there are always so many crazy people here who have loud arguments during the day or even in the middle of the night. So, I decided to use Google to search for some reviews, and I found a few real ones describing exactly what was going on here. All those things people described were already familiar to me. Even though I'd only spent about 12 days here, I'd already experienced all the delights of this place.

But, my main mistake was that I only checked the Airbnb reviews before booking this place for about €470 for 27 days. It was the cheapest place I could find with all the things I needed, like a washing machine, my own kitchen to prepare food, and other important things for everyday life.

Here are the main minuses I've noticed during my stay:

  • The fire alarm can start going off at any time, day or night. And you can't tell whether it's a real alarm or not
  • The soundproofing is terrible. If someone walks along the corridor, you can clearly hear them. On top of that, all the outside noise bothers you day and night
  • The nightlife is another problem because nobody seems to restrict it here. There are some nightclubs nearby that host events and discos with loud music
  • The elevators are often crowded, and there can be queues around the elevator areas. For example, when I take the elevator from the 28th floor to the first floor, it usually makes five stops or even more. Sometimes, the elevator gets so crowded that you have to wait for another one
  • The parking areas are another issue. I've heard that if you have a car, you can't park it here because all the available 400 parking spaces are always occupied
  • The electricity always turns off when you leave your apartment and take the key card with you. This means the refrigerator stops working, so all your frozen groceries can melt or simply spoil
  • The space between the balcony floor and the railings is huge, so trash always collects there. And that trash can easily blow onto the balconies below
  • The balcony railings make loud and annoying noises during strong winds. It also looks like the wind could easily damage the frames and railings
  • The balcony separators don't really protect your privacy because people can easily move between apartments using the balconies
  • On windy days, there are drafts inside the apartment, with cold air coming through tiny cracks
  • Every now and then, I'd notice the smell of perfume coming from the neighbors' apartments, even with all the windows and doors closed

Here are the main pluses:

  • The views are incredible. They're amazing and panoramic, and you can enjoy the sunset from your balcony
  • The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need for everyday life, including an electric stove, refrigerator, washing machine, dishes, and microwave
  • There are plenty of shops nearby, including Carrefour and Spar, as well as pharmacies and a mall with McDonald's, KFC, and other places to eat. There are also some cafes and small boutiques near the building, but they were a bit expensive
  • The internet wasn't bad, but sometimes, when I watched YouTube or other online videos, they struggled to load smoothly

Overall, my apartment was pretty clean when I arrived, but I still can't say this is the kind of place I wanted to stay in. It's probably my worst stay here so far, and I regret booking this place because of all the shouting during the night that keeps bothering me. Unfortunately, I still have to spend about 14 more days here, surrounded by all this chaos.
