Today is my fifth day in Thailand — we’ve arrived in Baan Rak Thai and got stuck in the mountains

Today we woke up early at 5 AM and visited Yun Lai Viewpoint. When we arrived, the weather was cloudy and we couldn’t see anything, but as we walked, the clouds cleared, and we were able to enjoy amazing views. We also visited Pai Canyon and the Kho Ku So Bamboo Bridge, surrounded by rice fields. This time the weather was sunny and hot, so we could walk around, enjoy the scenery, and take some photos.

That tree fell across the road

In the second part of the day, around 3 PM, we left Pai and headed toward Baan Rak Thai. While driving, we stopped at a few viewpoints, enjoyed the amazing scenery, and had a great time. It was truly beautiful and unbelievable.

But a surprise was waiting for us. After we had driven about 80% of the way, a tree fell across the road, and we couldn’t continue driving for about 30 minutes to an hour. But after that, a truck arrived, and the driver helped us move the tree so we could continue our journey.

If you had seen that moment, you might have thought it was like a scene from a scary movie — you’re stuck, alone in the mountains, and can’t continue your journey. However, everything turned out fine, and we arrived at our hotel. I’ll try to share more about the hotel and my room tomorrow.
