Fire alarm signal in the middle of the night
I just lay down and after about 15 minutes, a very loud voice suddenly started speaking in Georgian. At first, I didn't understand what it was and thought that maybe someone had opened the door. So I immediately jumped out of bed and came to the door, but the door was closed and nobody had opened it. And then I realized that it was the speakers announcing a fire emergency, which meant that I needed to leave the apartment. I only understood what was happening when the voice started saying it in English.
So it was a bit of a shock to me because in the middle of the night they were telling me that I should leave the apartment immediately. I didn't have many options, so I just put my documents, money and laptop into my backpack and went to the corridor. But the corridor was completely empty. I met only one woman from Belarus. She also didn't understand what had happened and asked me about it. But I still couldn't tell her anything because I didn't know what was happening either.
After that, I just walked around the corridor, checked that the elevators were working and looked outside through the windows. Luckily, everything outside was quite calm and I didn't notice anybody there. So I decided to come back to my apartment and check the other side of the building from my balcony. Everything was quiet there too. I didn't see any crowds, fire trucks or anything else unusual. By then I was already a bit calmer about staying in the building instead of going down the stairs from the 28th floor to the first floor.
With this crazy story, I didn't sleep for about 30 minutes because I wanted to be sure that everything it wouldn't happen again. So I looked from my balcony and listened to the elevator working and people coming and leaving. I just wanted to make sure that everything was okay so I wouldn't have to jump out of bed again and could sleep calmly without any worries.
This apartment is seriously driving me crazy because that damn fire alarm went off again in the middle of the night, at 12:30 AM. And it was absolutely awful because I'd gone to bed early due to a...
This night wasn't peaceful at all. It was one of the worst nights I've had here. Because during the night, some strange people were walking around the corridor, speaking loudly in Georgian and knocking on a nearby door....
I honestly have no words for whoever the hell designed this shit alarm system and this fucking building. What an absolute disaster. Staying here feels like living in a goddamn inferno. This place is cursed, and every single...
